Suns Daily Poem – 2026-02-17

February 18, 2026

February 17 settles over Phoenix, a clean page,
no game, just the practice doors breathing.
The Suns collect light and quiet,
laces, whistles, the rim’s small echo.

Devin Booker steps through the All-Star glow,
then back to the gym’s plain light.
Haywood Highsmith is a new hinge on the wing,
Jamaree Bouyea holds a two-way promise,
Cole Anthony’s name floats in roster talk,
depth measured in days, not just minutes.

They drill angles, closeouts, patient screens,
a corner three that feels like a sunrise.
Defense is a chorus of feet and voice,
each possession a dry, clear note.

Off-day or game day, the desert teaches focus;
warmth becomes work, work becomes flight.
When the next tip arrives, the city will glow
and the orange will rise with it.
